linkedin_list_accounts

Kind: read. It is marked as changing nothing.

List the LinkedIn company Pages and ad accounts your LinkedIn login can act for, with your role on each. can_post says whether a Page role allows posting; can_edit whether an ad account role allows changing campaigns (VIEWER cannot).

It takes no arguments.

linkedin_list_posts

Kind: read. It is marked as changing nothing.

List a LinkedIn company Page's posts, newest first - the most recent, or the ones in a range of dates, a page at a time - and your own drafts for it that are waiting to be published (they exist only on this server until then).

LinkedIn cannot filter posts by date, so a range is found by reading back from the newest post: a range far in the past costs several calls, and the answer carries a warning when it stopped before reaching it. When the answer has next_start there are more: call again with the same arguments and start set to it. Drafts come with the first page only.

ArgumentTypeRequiredDefaultDescription
organization_idtextyesThe company Page, from linkedin_list_accounts.
limitwhole numberno10How many posts to return in one page, newest first (1-50).
sincetextnononeOnly posts made at or after this time: a date (2026-09-01, read as UTC) or an ISO 8601 date-time.
untiltextnononeOnly posts made up to this time, in the same form. A bare date is the start of that day, so to include a day give the one after it.
startwhole numbernononenext_start from the last answer, for the page that follows it.

linkedin_post_insights

Kind: read. It is marked as changing nothing.

Lifetime organic statistics for some of a Page's posts: impressions, unique impressions, clicks, likes, comments, shares and engagement rate. Sponsored activity is not counted here. Reading them needs the ADMINISTRATOR role on the Page.

ArgumentTypeRequiredDefaultDescription
organization_idtextyesThe company Page the posts belong to.
post_urnslist of textyesUp to 20 post URNs from linkedin_list_posts.

linkedin_page_analytics

Kind: read. It is marked as changing nothing.

A LinkedIn company Page's own figures: its followers, its visitors, or all its posts taken together. Reading them needs the ADMINISTRATOR role on the Page.

Each report is either totals over a range of dates (since, until) or a breakdown by who (by), never both: LinkedIn keeps demographics only as they are now, over the Page's lifetime. Do not present a breakdown as the audience of a past month.

  • followers: the number of followers now. With a range, followers gained per DAY, WEEK or MONTH, organic and paid. LinkedIn has these from 12 months back to two days ago. With by, today's followers by function, seniority, industry, company_size, country, region or association.
  • visitors: page views over the Page's lifetime, in total and by section of the Page. With a range, per DAY or MONTH. With by, lifetime views by function, seniority, industry, company_size, country or region.
  • content: impressions, unique impressions, clicks, reactions, comments, shares and engagement of all the Page's posts over the last 12 months. With a range, per DAY or MONTH. Organic only. For one post use linkedin_post_insights.

A breakdown lists at most LinkedIn's top 100 values. Figures that count people (unique views, unique impressions) are per interval and are never added up.

The one dated breakdown there is comes from this server, not LinkedIn: for a Page it was asked to watch (history_watch, kind linkedin_page) it keeps the followers by each facet weekly, for a year at most, and report=followers with by and as_of reads the newest kept on or before that date, marked source stored. For a watched Page's daily figures as kept, by week or month and compared with the period before, use history_report.

ArgumentTypeRequiredDefaultDescription
organization_idtextyesThe company Page, from linkedin_list_accounts.
reporttextyesfollowers, visitors or content.
sincetextnononeThe first day of a range: a date (2026-09-01, read as UTC).
untiltextnononeThe day the range ends, not included; left out, the range runs to the newest day LinkedIn has.
granularitytextnononeDAY (the default), WEEK (followers only) or MONTH. Only with a range.
bytextnononeA breakdown as of now, in place of a range.
as_oftextnononeWith report=followers and by: a date, to read the breakdown this server kept on or before it instead of asking LinkedIn for today's.

linkedin_list_comments

Kind: read. It is marked as changing nothing.

The comments on one of a LinkedIn Page's posts, or the replies to one comment.

Authors are LinkedIn member URNs: LinkedIn gives this app no other member's name. by_this_page marks the Page's own comments. There is no way to hide a comment on LinkedIn, and nothing here deletes one.

ArgumentTypeRequiredDefaultDescription
organization_idtextyesThe company Page, from linkedin_list_accounts.
urntextyesA post URN from linkedin_list_posts, or a comment URN to read its replies.
limitwhole numberno50How many to read (1-100).

linkedin_list_new_comments

Kind: read. It is marked as changing nothing.

Comments that arrived since you last marked them seen, across a LinkedIn Page's most recent posts. Oldest first within each post; the Page's own comments are left out.

Reading marks nothing seen. Deal with the comments first, then pass the returned cursor to linkedin_mark_comments_seen, so a pass that stops halfway loses nothing. On a post never marked before, every comment is new. Replies under a comment are not included: reply_count shows which have them, and linkedin_list_comments(urn=<comment>) reads them.

ArgumentTypeRequiredDefaultDescription
organization_idtextyesThe company Page, from linkedin_list_accounts.
postswhole numberno10How many of the most recent posts to look at (1-25).

linkedin_mark_comments_seen

Kind: write.

Mark the comments a linkedin_list_new_comments call returned as dealt with, so the next call only returns what arrives after them. Changes nothing on LinkedIn - only this server's note of how far you have read - and never moves that note backwards. Needs no write access.

ArgumentTypeRequiredDefaultDescription
cursortextyesThe cursor linkedin_list_new_comments returned, unchanged.

linkedin_post

Kind: write. It only previews the change unless dry_run is false. Not offered while the server is in read-only mode.

Post to a LinkedIn company Page: text, optionally with media from your library.

The call decides what happens to the post. By default it is held as a draft on this server and needs linkedin_publish_draft to go out. LinkedIn's API has no drafts, so a held post exists only here and LinkedIn sees nothing of it until it is published. publish_now=true posts it at once. A live post has been seen: linkedin_update_post can change its text and linkedin_delete_post remove it, but neither takes that back. Note that dry_run is this server's own preflight: LinkedIn has no validate-only mode.

LinkedIn has no scheduling either, so schedule_at puts the post in this server's queue: nothing is sent to LinkedIn until that time, when the server publishes it and makes every check again. The queued post is on the Queue page of the management site; queue_list, queue_reschedule and queue_cancel manage it.

The text is sent as plain text: hashtags (#word) work, but nothing turns into a mention, and characters LinkedIn treats specially are escaped.

Media comes from the media library shared with Meta (meta_list_media; add files with meta_add_media, meta_create_upload_link or the Media page). A post takes one image, 2 to 20 images, one MP4 video or one PDF document - not a mix. Files are uploaded to LinkedIn only when the post is published, never for a dry run or a held draft.

ArgumentTypeRequiredDefaultDescription
organization_idtextyesThe company Page, from linkedin_list_accounts (a number or a urn:li:organization URN). Your role on it must allow posting (can_post).
texttextyesThe post text.
media_idslist of textnononeLibrary files to attach, by media_id.
titletextnononeA video's or a document's title, shown with it. A document defaults to its file name.
alt_texttextnononeFor images: the description a screen reader reads, used for each image.
publish_nowtrue or falsenofalsetrue = live as soon as it is sent. false (default) = a draft held here, unless schedule_at is given.
schedule_attextnononeQueue the post on this server and publish it at this time, ISO 8601 (e.g. 2026-10-01T09:30:00+02:00) or a Unix timestamp, up to 90 days ahead. Cannot be combined with publish_now.
dry_runtrue or falsenotruetrue = preflight only (default). false = actually post, after the user confirms.

linkedin_publish_draft

Kind: write. It only previews the change unless dry_run is false. Not offered while the server is in read-only mode.

Publish a LinkedIn post held on this server. The checks are run again first - your role, the permission and the day's cap may have changed since it was drafted.

ArgumentTypeRequiredDefaultDescription
draft_idtextyesThe draft_id linkedin_post returned, or one from linkedin_list_posts.
dry_runtrue or falsenotruetrue = preflight only (default). false = publish it, after the user confirms.

linkedin_cancel_draft

Kind: write. It only previews the change unless dry_run is false. Not offered while the server is in read-only mode.

Discard a LinkedIn post held on this server. LinkedIn never saw it, so nothing is removed from LinkedIn and nobody loses anything. A published post is removed with linkedin_delete_post, which is another matter.

ArgumentTypeRequiredDefaultDescription
draft_idtextyesThe draft to discard.
dry_runtrue or falsenotruetrue = preflight only (default). false = discard it, after the user confirms.

linkedin_update_post

Kind: write. It only previews the change unless dry_run is false. Not offered while the server is in read-only mode.

Change the text of a published post on a LinkedIn company Page. People who have seen the post see the new text, and LinkedIn marks it as edited.

Only the text changes: a post's image, video or document cannot be replaced. The new text is sent as plain text like a new post's - hashtags work, and a mention in the old text becomes ordinary words. It replaces the old text whole.

ArgumentTypeRequiredDefaultDescription
organization_idtextyesThe company Page the post belongs to. Your role on it must allow posting.
post_urntextyesThe post, from linkedin_list_posts.
texttextyesThe new text.
dry_runtrue or falsenotruetrue = preflight only (default). false = change it, after the user confirms.

linkedin_delete_post

Kind: write. It only previews the change unless dry_run is false. Removing needs confirm_remove to be true as well. Not offered while the server is in read-only mode.

Delete one published post from a LinkedIn company Page for good. It cannot be undone, and the post's comments, reactions and figures go with it. LinkedIn has no hidden state for a post, so there is nothing softer to try first.

Delete only when the user asked for this post to be deleted, after showing it to them. One post per call. The post as it was is kept in this server's activity log. A post LinkedIn marks as sponsored content is refused: deleting it stops the ad. A post that is already gone is reported as that, and nothing is sent. A draft held on this server is discarded with linkedin_cancel_draft instead.

ArgumentTypeRequiredDefaultDescription
organization_idtextyesThe company Page the post belongs to. Your role on it must allow posting.
post_urntextyesThe post, from linkedin_list_posts.
confirm_removetrue or falsenofalseMust be true, and only when the user asked for a delete.
dry_runtrue or falsenotruetrue = preflight only (default). false = delete it, after the user confirms.

linkedin_reply_to_comment

Kind: write. It only previews the change unless dry_run is false. Not offered while the server is in read-only mode.

Reply publicly to a comment on a LinkedIn Page's post, as the Page.

A reply goes live at once - there is no draft for a comment - so show the user the comment and the proposed reply, and get their confirmation for each one before dry_run=false. Replies have their own daily cap, separate from posts. The message is sent as written; it cannot mention anyone.

ArgumentTypeRequiredDefaultDescription
organization_idtextyesThe company Page to reply as.
post_urntextyesThe post the comment is on, from linkedin_list_new_comments or linkedin_list_posts.
comment_urntextyesThe comment to answer. Replies are one level deep: to answer a reply, answer the comment it is under.
messagetextyesThe reply text.
dry_runtrue or falsenotruetrue = preflight only (default). false = post the reply, after the user confirms.
